Default WPX AK high river value bet

Vilian in this hand is a better than average TAG. He tends to call down light in short handed situations. He probably sees me as a TAG who tends to get out of line once in a while.

Four Handed 2/4 WPX

I take it you expected a flop c/r from 5x?

Yeah usually. I'd be more surprised to see a 5 than a ten from this particularly vilian.

I think he will decide to mix up his play with 5x or pocket, or hit the Q and let you bluff more often than he will call river with a worse hand, but I virtually never valuebet my AK

I would often check this river. Maybe it's too weak but I can't see him calling a worse hand like a weak ace more often than he has a pp 5x or Qx.

Read/previous play dependent; you say he calls down light, so bet this river. Although I don't know if I always have the courage to fire here in the moment.

In general, I tend to check behind AK alot. However, the turn is a pretty good VB AK hi card, as he'll probably call Ax a lot more, expecting to chop.
