Default Disk Read Errors for 360

I saw a similar thread but that was about the discs actually having markings on them. I just got the 360 and with brand new games and dont leave them in the console or move the console when its on. there are no scratches at all on them, but usually if i've been playing for about 2 hours, then the system stops the commentary for whatever game it is and says theres a disc reading error. Is my system just overheating? Do I need to buy some sort of fan or something? Any help is appreciated

Not sure if it's overheating, but you can always try this:

And take it back if it doesn't fix your problem.

When I get my 360 back from warranty repair I'm going to buy that thing mainly because it looks cool.

I think i've had my 360 giong for over 2 hours before and I only had that error once. Where exactly is your 360? I have mine standing upright not near anything on my floor. If yours is boxed in that could lead to more overheating issues.

Miyogi is wise.

It was laying in the horizontal position but there was some clutter on the table. I just bought the Nyko thing and it fits perfect and seems to cool down the main unit very well. Havent played more than 2 hours with the Nyko thing on yet. Will do it today most likely as we're havin a Fight Night tourney. thanks
