NL100 - QTo LP
New to NL, no read on villain.
Is this a fold PF in NL? The table wasn't playing too loose so I figured I had a pretty good shot of picking up the blinds/ getting it HU IP. Comments on all streets appreciated. Thanks guys. Re: NL100 - QTo LP
It's fine all the way through, but I'm not sure an A calls a push. I'd need a good read that Villain is loose enough to call; a halfway decent player knows he's calling to chop here.
Zeebo theorem applies often enough, but I'll go against the grain and say that I prefer 3/4 PSB as opposed to the push. |

Looks fine. River is tough. Zeebo theorem demands a push, but I'm in agreement with ep that a smaller bet make make more sense with the ace on the board.

Zeebo theorem demands a push [/ QUOTE ] I searched for the definition of this but only found examples and a general idea. Do you have a linky handy by chance? Haupt_234 |

Re: NL100 - QTo LP
I think Zeebo theorem basically states that no one folds a boat. Therefore, if you think your opponent has a boat and you beat it then push.
The raise PF is goot. I'd bet just $40 on the river. Hopefully it worked out for ya though. M. |

Re: NL100 - QTo LP
OP,
There is not likley to be a single one of the regs in this forum who would call your shove with an A. That's why I think the shove is read-dependent and a value-packed 3/4 pot is best. The Zeebo Theorem is a good one, but obviously hyperbolizes and doesn't work here. |

Re: NL100 - QTo LP
Haupt,
I suck at search, but Zeebo did a post a while back commenting on how nobody ever folds a boat, regardless of the board, action, etc. His theory is that if you beat most of villain's potential boats, then you should just push, because you will get called a redonkulously high % of the time. epdaws and I hesitate here because a lone A gives everyone the not so well disguised 3rd nuts. |

I think there are some regs who are capable of realising this is a split/Q but 80% of them at least are calling with an A here. |

[/ QUOTE ] No WAY do 80% of the regular posters in this forum call that river shove with an A. I just refuse to believe that, bilbo. It's a very bad call to make. |
