I seriously couldn't imagine respecting someone after they take the position your girlfriend has taken. So your next move? Well, according to your thread title, you and her made a bet... seeing as she wouldn't be willing to take an instant $2k profit on her shares, it sounds like you should have gotten at least 2:1 on this bet. And since she owns stocks and made a bet with you, clearly she likes to gamble... so pretend you're not entirely turned off by her from her ridiculous position, continue to make bets with her until you have all her money, and then move on.

Your GF knows nothing about investing. Do not follow any of her financial advice or let her influence your investment decisions. A lot of people would (and do!) take the position OP's girlfriend has taken. I mean, it's not as silly as believing that a BAC of .08 means your blood is 8% alcohol, and I bet a lot of people believe that.
I don't think this is close to a dump-worthy offense.
