Poker player caught cheating in German casino

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but a hold-out artist got busted at Bellagio about 5 years ago.

He was an old man playing 80-160 LHE I think. Would play super-loose preflop obv and showdown weird winning hands.

I think a retired police officer was in a game with him and got suspicious and grabbed his arm and the cards fell out or something.

It should be in the RGP archives.

no, he`s not.

i played with this guy a lot (prob like ~50 sessions) and he must have been very good at cheating. I was not suspicious at all. i really liked to have him at my table.
for me he was a hyper-agressive player who ran over nits. also he had a strategy that i thought worked very well for him:
early in the session with 50-100BB he stacked off super light and showed big bluffs. Later when stacks got deeper (500+ BB) he got way too much action and always had the goods when money went in.


also cheating was super easy:
i played only him in hamburg and back then only one deck was used a whole night unless a card was marked or something.

then one day a dealer forgot to take out one of the joker cards after a deck change and play went on for half an hour until a player was dealt the joker.
from then on each dealer had their own deck and presented it whenever he got to a new table. this must have made cheating a lot harder cause he played more and more in bad zwischenahn.

intellipoker has nothing to do with this guy except for the fact that we were cheated by him.

yeah I'm about 20-30k € down against hassan...

like 6 months ago a friend told me that he knows what hassan is doing but he couldn't prove it or actually saw it.

Hassan didn't put the cards up his sleeve, he just held them under his hands or arm.

cheating scumbag :/
