Default Standard JJ Overpair Fold

10/20 Motor City

My image is TAG/LAGy although no one really cares. The game is really good: one TAG/TP, five horrible LP, a couple WT old men, one spazzy passive guy.

Villian in this hand is a bad LP. He has a bunch of chips in front of him so he may be running hot or he may have bought in for a lot. I'm guessing the former since most buy into the game for like 10 bets.

One limper. Villain opens in MP. Two callers. I threebet with JJ in the SB. Everyone calls.

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I don't have a diamond. I bet. Limper folds. Villian raises. Folds back to me. I call.

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet. Villian raises. I fold before he gets his chips into the pot.

I hate it. With your line, I think you should call turn after his raise and call any non-dia river.

I would have c/c'd the turn (flop is fine) because if he's terrible like you say he is, you beat a lot of his range (but not by much, which is why I c/c).

AdTx, QdJx, even ATo.

But do passive players really raise those hands two streets in a row?

I HATE folding overpairs but I can live with this one.

Seems correct. You can't take this line against thinking players though.
