Oh, my friend, the parties we have for our youths ok...roasting hyenas by an open fire, stoning the adulterers, pin the tail on the jackal, such fun.

Daughter: ROYALTY, in 3 weeks it's her quinceanera, costing about 5K for her bday party. Her Sweet 13 was about 3K and next year for her Sweet 16, I'll be taking her and 3 friends and a friend for me on a cruise (3-4k?). Yeah, she's spoiled like that.

Yeah my parents just loved me and took me and some friends to a haunted house or out to a restaurant that had a game room.

I one day hope to lavish my child on his "Crazy 8" birthday, probably with a private jet trip to disneyworld. Then of course the Nifty 9 will have to be celebrated with a luxury suite at a Red Sox game for him and his classmates. Then, double digits is a big deal, so when he hits the Century mark, I'll really have to go all out...

And I have given her the "normal" birthday party (>$150) every year except the "special" numbers. (1, 13, 15, 16, 18...then she's on her own)

[/ QUOTE ]

man, the only "special" birthday years I had was 21.
