Default busted cell phone

had a water bottle next to it overnight and the bottle sweated and got the phone wet, now it wont turn on or anything. anyone ever have any experience with this and should i just let it dry out or am i screwed and gotta get a new phone?

Set on something that produces heat, like a heater vent, home theatre equipment, etc, and let it dry out for at least a day. May work, may not.

Yeah, in my experience its usually about 50/50 whether they work again. As other post said, put it near a heat source for a few hours and then try it.

Do not put it near a heat source because that will mess it up. Put it with the numbers down on a paper towel and put it near a fan.

Well, when I say "heat source" I don't mean inside the oven. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I mean, in a window where sun is shining in. On top of a refrigerator, use a hair dryer on a low setting, etc. Those will NOT harm a phone.

Those would be fine. I jumped at no heat because I used to work with cell phones and I had at least one phone call a week from people who put their phones in the microwave.

I know what you mean. I own 2 cellphone stores. The amount of stupidity I run across on a daily basis never ceases to amaze me.
