Where is the rake this low? I'm used to seeing about $3 rake in a pot like that.

You took a wicked beat here with the best hand in poker. But what's really amazing is how much action your opponent put in -- I can see jamming his four flush on fourth street, in a three way game you could be representing with an A and garbage. But once you hammer back, he should be in check call mode 'til the river. He spewed some serious long-term dollars on this hand. Hope you were able to maintain composure and stay at the table with this maniac, cause if he stays awhile you WILL get your $$ back.

Exactly! Its not the fact that I took the beat.. In doing a two dimes , I'm never THAT big of a favorite, its just the fact that I had the board lock, and he still kept on hammering back, like you said.

This has happened to me a few times in the past week and every time i've lost.

did you ever consider check/calling the river when you dont fill?

it sucks this happened definitly b/c thats one beefy pot that should be yours, but if you bet on the river with a set and dont fill and he raises you its a pretty uncomfortable feeling.
