UB, 5k guar, $33 buyin, 6max, two decisions later on.
I have 9K in chips, blinds are 2/400 with 50 ante, I am UTG with A9s, and raise the pot. I get 1 caller from SB who has approx. 14k in chips. flop comes Q - 9 - 4, rainbow.
I bet the pot, he checkraises me, putting me all in, I fold. Comments on the play of the hand from start to finish welcome. next hand , blinds still 200/400, ante 50, I am in BB, folded to SB, who built up his stack by limp calling all in with KQ 2 hands ago, limps this time too. I have A6s, with 4k in chips left and push. He calls with KJs, and takes it down, and I am out of the tourney. |

first hand fold preflop, bet less on flop. [/ QUOTE ] In hind sight, I'm wishing I did both of those, but at a 6 handed table with antes, you don't think this hand is worth trying to pick up the pot with? I usually lead for half of the pot with my continuation bets, but UB has a bet the pot button, and i just clicked it.. oh well.. |

Re: UB, 5k guar, $33 buyin, 6max, two decisions later on.
A9s at 6MAX is certainly playable UTG (that's like playing it from MP3 at full table). I myslef like a raise to about 2.5 BB's (about 1,000), and half-pot the flop (1,200 or so). This puts you out about 2,500 chips as played and you still have a playable stack.
Second push is fine as played. |
