Default math software for \"The Mathematics of Poker\"

Looking for a freeware math programme that will store equations and let me input X's and Y's as needed, so that I can play around a bit with all those formulas and calculations. Any suggestions?

You should be able to use a spreadsheet for most of the math in TMP if I recall correctly. Am I wrong?
