-When I calculate this myself assuming:

$5 average pots (so 25 cent rake on each hand)
10 players per table with a 1/10th rake split

$144 per month

Big difference........

well, you know what happens when you assume...

WPEX does not calculate their rakeback in this manner (equal share to all dealt into the hand) it is instead given to only those who put money in the pot. For the low limits it works out to around 2-2.5bb/100 depending on what level you're playing and your style.

This thread single handedly got me to sign up for WPEX over any other thread on the subject.

That, or the timing went well, since i just finished the Stars reload and wasnt too excited to go back to my Party grinding ways.

Way cool site guys. And Benjamin, i went and got a mod from that site. Thanks for that link.

Week 1 (part-time player, 2-table at most 2/4 and 3/6 holdem and omaha/8):

+35 pre-rake
+270 in rakeback

Thanks for the reply. Very reassuring to know I wasn't the only one who had ran into such difficulties.

Very loose and aggressive players hitting 2-3 outers on the river = EXTREMELY painful variance.

If you're a masochist, play some Head's up and wait for a bad luck streak. You can drop 100 BB in no time. Ask Andy Beal.

Don't you realize that 'rocks' are the easiest poker players of all to beat? I mean you do realize that right?

Hey everyone,
I was just curious as to the stats some of u other poker players who been playing at wsex have been getting.. So fari've saved $1905 dollars playing in mostly 2/4 and 3/6, and 5/10 playing limit hold'em.

So i've paid all that and i'm only up 258 bucks and i play a pretty strong game.

Not paying rake finally makes the game profitable for us. As u can see if i had to pay rake... i would be down about 1650 dollars even though i have actually been winning.
So for every dollar i've won so far i would have had to pay another site 8 dollars in rake just to make that dollar in profit.

Amazing how the rake really adds up isn't it?

How much have some u all saved in rakes compared to ur winnings or losses so far at this new site.
Later, mike

I continue to support this site by playing 1-2 tables there while playing 2-3 tables elsewhere. Game selection is still a huge problem, especially when you look beyond the micro-limits: right now, for example, there is just ONE basically full game going above $5-$10. Now compare that to elsewhere...

I'm not sure why everyone hasn't flocked to WPEX -- obviously, if it had the players of any of the major sites, everyone would want to play there ... but they still don't.

Getting 100% of your rake back is nice, but it still doesn't wholly make up for the other problems. Fortunately, the games are still quite beatable (pre-rakeback) so there is plenty to be made there ... but still not as much as there is to be made elsewhere.

As of right now, 9:14 am cst, there are two full 5/10 limit ring games going. Yes, it isn't the selection that Party has, but Party wasn't Party when they first got rolling either.
