No reads on villain, played only 1 orbit at table. First off I should have made it $3 to go. Having said that, is this a push here ? What's the proper play without any reads ?

This board is so dry it's tough to put him on a drawing type hand, could be 57 I guess. Only overpairs he could have are 99 TT JJ maybe QQ. I think most times villian calls flop with these hands to see what you do on the turn. I think your looking at a set. He's making this raise into 3 other players behind him, so it looks even stronger. I make a reluctant fold.

Yeah agree with the $3 comment preflop.

I think your up against at least 2 pair here. I fold without a better read on villain.

No problem with a fold here, he's showing strength into multiple opponents.

Heads up, I'd go with Raisor's comment

I agree here... Bigger raise PF... Stare at the A's for a bit, then kiss em good buy... The only thing that gets me though is.. Most at these stakes will Smooth the flop if set...

I might actually have to flip a coin and possibly call... Sure smells of 1010-QQ to me...

Sometimes I might push this if I think I might be seeing this guy regularly... Info in this instance has value....

Definitely more PF. It is hard to believe that villain would raise so much with a set on this board. You have two choices--push or fold. I'd fold. So many players and a bet in front of him, and he raises?

I wish I had thought it through more before pushing, never really took into consideration how many people were left to act when he made his move, all I could think of was would he play a set that way, and 99-QQ looked possible. Thanks for the advice and responses. So anyways I pushed, he called and showed 22 for a set.

Surprised he was that strong... Ya you want to believe he was protecting his hand, but a smooth call would have definately been worth the risk with that flop....

Hopefully you will be playing him often.. This will gain you value on how he protects his hands... (Possibly never slowplays)....

Flat calls = draws, med str. hands... reraise=made hands....
I personally like these players... hehe...
