Account Banned for "racist crap"?

I just want to know if the term "indian giver" is considered racist. When I was in grade school kids used this term all the time, I never once have heard anyone refer to it as racist.

According to urban dictionary the term means:
To the Native Americans, who had no concept of money or currency, gifts were a form of trade goods, of exchange. One didn't give a gift without expecting one of equivalent value in return. If one could not offer an equivalent return gift, the original gift would be refused or returned. To the Europeans, who with their monetary-based trade practices, this seemed low and insulting, gifts were not for trade but were to be freely given.

Anything racist in there? I dont know, point it out please.

Anyways, I dont think I deserved a 3 day ban for saying 'indian giver'. Seems like a case of over modding and being far too PC on some dumb internet entertainment forum (BBV).

Also, hilarious that you would both look this up in "urban dictionary" like it's some kind of new slang and then post it like it's some kind of authority.

gw is on vacation i believe...i think that thread definitely rubbed some people the wrong way though, not sure if that mertis a ban, but that's not my call...

I'll wait for the BBV mods to get here to explain everything, but the OP isn't giving the entire reason for his ban.

I always thought the term "indian giver" was a slam against the U.S. Gov't as being one that gives the indians something only to take it away later (i.e., land, treaty rights, etc.).

Wiki is split on how the term came about.

seriously, why did you even post that if you are not going to say why?

Im open to changing my stance on my ban if a mod could explain it better than "racist crap" - which was all I was told.
