Default Who is Avery Cardoza?

I guess I am not a good person for first impressions. I was wrong about my thoughts on Barry Tenenbaum.

Out of boredom, while browsing a book-store, I opened an Avery Cardoza book. In the intro, Avery says that he was once a professional card counter, was kicked out of every casino in Nevada, and decided to open a book publishing company.

When I first started to gamble (pre-poker), I read some of his stuff, and looking back, I see how unscientific all his books were. I understand that the need to sell books trumps the need for quality, but he did manage to nail the SS series.

So, who is this guy? Was he ever a successful gambler. Does he gamble at all. Is he capable of putting out higher level product? etc?

I just wiki'ed both of them. Interesting reads for sure.

Still. I can't get the thinking out of my head that one of these are inaccurate.

Does Avery really play in big poker games?

Although I have never read a shiller book nor a warren book I have seen their covers and from that alone I can say warren is the more sound author.

Schiller has written far more books than Warren, but there are 1 or 2 that are well written, whereas i dont know of any by Warren that i would give to anyone i liked.

Warren and cardoza are roughly the same in talent towards their given expertise. Most canadian bookstores are filled with their donk mentality concepts etc material. Thank god..
