Bottom boat on a double paired board, line?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney ($1+0.20, 45 seats), Big Blind is t20 (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com
Hero (t2030) UTG (t2625) UTG+1 (t1480) MP1 (t2040) MP2 (t1385) CO (t2880) Button (t1380) SB (t1160) Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Does this seem reasonable? |

Re: Bottom boat on a double paired board, line?
I wouldn't lead this flop into 3 callers (unless i had 88 or a Q.) As played river block is ok against a bad villain, although any decent player will put u on at least an 8 after u pot the flop/check turn/pot river...that line is very strong. I'd bet 150-200 with the intention of folding to any raise (including a min-raise.)

5 ways i'd just check/fold the flop since you have a low equity hand (already not that strong and no easy means of improving). Turn and river are fine as played.

Check-call river. You make more money by snapping off bluffs than you do by betting IMO.

I think A high and K high check behind on the river a lot so I like the bet and I think it is likely that at least A high would call.
