Default 1/2 NL buy in? Which chips?

What chips do you bring to the table for 1/2 NL $300 max buy-in? Lots of red and some white? All white?

You don't need any green in a 1/2 game. Get a stack of white and the rest in red.

Blue and sometimes yellow. Most clubs will not allow brown or purples to play. Whites play, but you can only color up to them after a bigscore.

Mostly Los Angeles and other parts of California. Standard colors here and a limited buy in of $50 for 1/2 NL. I just had to be a smartass

Chip runners in Vegas usually give you $280 in red and 20 in white/blue, but if the table is full, sometimes they will just give you 3 stacks of red, and let the dealer change it as you go.

I've always been given at least 10 whites, probably so that I can tip them.

White/Blue $1 chip NL games are complete jokes, IMO. I can only think of one casino in Vegas that spreads it (Fiesta Henderson, $40 max). I'm sure there are more, but none on the Strip or Downtown. Only in podunk areas or small locals casinos (like Fiesta).

Just sit at the table and get your chips from the runner. They will bring you what is customary.
