go with a vizio lcd, they are pretty cheap and everyone i know loves theres.

If you can save up a couple more hundred than nothing beats a sony imo

As far as value, you can't beat Visio. You can find a better TV, but if you are on a budget buy the biggest Visio you can afford. Costco has the best prices on them.
