Default Pooh-Bah Post

Hey Everybody,

Many of you probably have no idea who I am, as most of my activity here came in 2004-2005. I guess most people would probably know me as the guy that began the "Digest" tradition here at 2+2.

I'm not going to compile a list of people that I want to thank because the list would be enormous and most of the people on it are long gone anyway. I'll just give a huge THANKS to every member of this forum, past and present.

If anybody has any questions I am happy to answer.

Hey Hobbs,

Hope all is well. I don't play online anymore. I stopped playing right before the bill was passed. I cashed out some of my bankroll to pay for student loans and bills, and the rest of it was stuck in Neteller until this past summer. I don't really have much desire to get back to playing right now.

The first person that comes to mind is sfer (now known as The DaveR I think). There was a group of about 5-8 posters during that first summer that really shaped my game and the way I thought about things.

Jake, what were some of the most influential pieces of advice given during the time period you speak of (04-05)?

I have more than an idea of who you are. I was a newbie when you were posting regularly and I learned to hit your hand review first to cut to the chase and let the other responders try to improve from there.

I'm glad your not at my table. Good luck.

Jake,

thanks for this; like alot of other former small stakers from '05, i figured you were destined to fade into black and never be heard from again. for some reason i saw this post and found myself perusing the old digests for a couple hours earlier today. good stuff.

it's cool of you to even consider a "pooh bah" post as infrequently as you interact/gain anything from small stakes. thanks for choosing this forum.

others may have requested it as well, but i'll ask for a landmark(for you) post.

do you have any of your posts saved in faves? if so i wish you would share one of them.

what is the future of online limit hold em? do you think the legislation will ever be reversed?

what are you doing these days(school, work, etc.)?

do you have any ideas or suggestions for the betterment of the forum?

as i have said before, you are one of the biggest contributors in the history of this forum and i greatly appreciate it. i also appreciate your allegiance to your roots and where a good portion of where your poker development came from. good luck in life and whatever future endeavors it may hold for you.

don't let this poohbah thread be your last post.

James
