Default $215 some heads-up play

Last hand maybe sucks. Maybe I suck heads-up. Maybe I should go all-in preflop every time. I'm probably going to post some more HU play. I had one other one last set, but I'm afraid some of it was too dumb to post. I'll post the next one that happens and I'll try not to be dumb in it. Villian in pretty TAG.

When it says 'Hero raises to', that's really how much I raised by - so like 200/400 I was making it 1100, not 900. Maybe I should have slowed down with the AA.

The only hand i dont play the same is QJ. As played, i would either push over the raise, or call and play in position.

I cant see what hands he had when he showed down during heads up, but if hes raising a semiwide hand range, you cant be folding on the button.

Also, the last hand. I understand why you pushed, but i feel you have a lot more FE by raising to 2000-2300ish. If he pushes, you're calling, but pushing over his bet just LOOKS like a draw (especially on that board), so he's probably calling kinda wide.

I play AA for a raise or completion depending on the opponent. I raise QJo to begin with. I probably complete with 64s. I may not push A2s.

I dunno I don't think anything is really that bad.

1. Standard
2. Standard
3. I'd limp. Are you that afraid he's going to flop 2 pair?
4. Seems ok.
5. I'd limp. Q8o is a solid hand heads up. You want to see a flop but if you raise you will most likely take it down preflop or have to fold to his shove. Raise with some trash or a strong starting hand.
6. Free Money!
7. I'd call and see a flop. If you hit you most likely will get a very nice sized pot here. You are very rarely dominated here.
8. Free money!
9. I'd limp. I raise with complete trash such as 37o or a solid hand like ATs.
10. Standard
11. I'd limp.
12. Might call the flop bet. It's unlikely he's got an ace and unless he's got a jack you can take it away from him on a later street.
13. I'd test him here with a raise. He's been abusing you with when you raise pf so he should be a little more reluctant to do it again.
14. Looks good
15. Gotta raise either this hand or 13. I know he's been aggressive but unless he's a complete maniac he'll slow down.
16. Meh. You'll probably take it down preflop but I'd much rather check and hope an ace comes. If it does your hand is very well concealed.
17. That shove is a huge overbet. The board is pretty coordinated and you have the worst draw possible. Call and reevaluate on the turn.

I went hand by hand to get a better feel for how the opponent was playing. As you can see I love limping from the button with deeper than normal stacks.

Nice reply. Thanks. I don't think this was my 'A' game and for some reason I think I haven't been thinking nearly enough HU lately.

My general thought when I'm playing better is to raise with trash and hands that can stand reraise, folding some trash if you are getting too much of it. With medium hands, either fold, complete or raise depending on villian. Thanks for reminding me.

The last hand was a sort of tilt, same as the AA. Not the kind of tilt where you make HORRIBLE plays, just the kind where you act super fast. I think it was Lacky who said, "take at least 15 seconds for every play that matters" or something like that.

I'm gonna post my next HU. Hopefully that will be tonight. Just the threat of knowing I have to post it should keep me at least trying to play my best.

QJ I would open
AA I would standard open
76o I would fold preflop

Just a general thought. You don't seem to call much. I like to call a bit especially early, to see if villain raises me off. It sets up a call with a big hand.

If Villain raises often then you can fold trash. Besides, I often think it starts to encourage villain to call which saves me folding the BB every other hand.

QJ is too weak, I know you've been raising a lot but grit your teeth and raise again.

The AA the other option is to limp, but I think the push is OK.
