If you thought the muck was magic, you should see the magic line in rooms that enforce the "magic line" rule. God forbid you try to cut chips over the line (if its in your hand, you bet it (and the corollary - if you are trying to raise in a limit game and are 1 chip short in your hand, its a call)) or a chip rolls away from you (chips across the line aren't coming back unless you win the pot).

Thankfully I'm seeing a lot less of the magic line weirdness in nor. Cal. It used to be really bad, at least now crap like what is in the OP would no longer work in any room that I can think of around here. It would have worked in three or four two years ago.
