g,

I thought the show last night was very solid. Good mix of humorous stuff and very serious topics. I also thought the end had a nice balance to it. Really felt like they pulled back a bit with some of the stuff that in previous eps had been veering pretty close to too over-the-top and almost silly. Now if they'll just add some hot naked chicks back in.

I'm kind of wondering about the lifespan of this show. Hank and Karen can't be together for any serious amount of time, and how long can Hank pine over her before something else needs to happen? Hopefully they planned this out a bit before starting this season.

I liked it a lot and think its great the way the show can shift pace from comedy/naked chicks to sad/reflective. I really enjoy all the dimensions of the Hank character.

Heh, I wrote out a couple paragraphs last night on this episode then my computer crashed. Basically just said I teared up a few different times in this episode. Really great episode, a lot of stuff just hit really close to home with some situations in my own life that are currently going on.

Completely agree with El D, the past few episodes have been a bit over the top and this was the first real "serious" episode so far, but I felt like the hooker bit, although tied in well with the episode, could have been improved upon.

Although there was a lot of "naked" in the first episode, there sure hasn't been much since.

Pretty sure the first 3 or 4 eps had tons of tittage.

only bad scene was the band playing that song, pretty cheesy. and the guitar store scene was dumb.

Agreed Yeti. Really good ep yet again. Although the guitar store scene was kind of cheese, I didn't mind it since it still fit with Hank's character - total disregard for money/responsibility just so he can look good in front of his daughter.

But yeah the band playing that song, yikes. Duchovny is still the man though :P

The latest show was awesome. Duchovny's close up after he got his new porsche stolen was priceless. Looks like he is totally indifferent and is going with the flow of life. Love love love his character.

I think his independent attitude about society coupled with his high intelligence and zest for womanizing really strikes a cord with online professionals. It might be why we love Hank so much.

Don't get the huge overeaction by Hank's ex wife over the daughters band playing at the wedding, esp. infront of Hank. Also, if I was the guy and saw Hank outwardly trying to win back his soon to be wife out on his terrace almost right infront of him would piss the hell out of me. I would have probably have gone out there and sock him one and tell him to get the F*** out of his place.

never seen this, but just wanted to say that Showtime has a pretty sick lineup yet not a ton of people get the channel, at least that I know of, it could be different in the US. Is this just because of the subject matter of the shows or what?
