tricky network question: how many MBs/month does poker software use
OK, so I am thinking about going to New Zealand for a year (traveling/backpacking around the country), but I will need to be able to play poker there and NZ does not seem to have a lot of free wifi spots.
Telecom offers a mobile broadband card that offers reliable high-speed mobile broadband access anywhere in any major NZ city or town. The cost is $70/month for 1 GB/month of data transfer and you can get an extra 1GB for $10/month. Question: How the hell do I figure out how much data is transfered via my poker software? I play 6 to 8 tables at a time for up to 8 hours a day on various poker sites. Is there a software program I can install to track my data usage and get a rough estimate of what plan I need? Do any of you know if 1GB will clearly be more than enough, or not nearly enough for my intended use? Thanks. |

Check a search through this forum over the last couple months. I think we answered this recently.

4-5megabytes per table hour was the consensus, i think.
