Default Irish Open, live hand. restealing button/sb/steal

blinds 150/300, i think this was with no ante.

button 8k
sb 12kish
I think I had about 12k at this stage

I haven't looked at my cards yet, and it's pretty obvious I haven't looked at them. my image is fairly tight at this point, other than 1/2 limped pots, none of my hands have gotten to showdown.

sb, is some scandie kid I think, strong player.

folded to the button.

He makes it 1k, he's done this the last two times it's been folded to him so far through the day, he took the blinds each time.

sb looks at his cards, and makes it 3k.

I look down at 86o.

What do u think of a, "look at my cards, look right, look at my chips", and shove?

Better question would be: What do you think my range should be? Fold.

I can't think that this would ever be a good play. If you want to appear strong, look at your cards, and then go all-in. I wouldn't look at your cards, look right, look at your chips, blah blah blah, and then go all-in. In my opinion, you're giving the impression that you're calculating if it's worth going all-in with two high cards.

If you look at your cards and then go all-in, you make it look like there is nothing to think about and your cards are strong enough to hold up to anything.

But then again, if you get called with 86o you're dead meat.

While I'm not sure if this is a profitable play, I don't think it's as bad as people seem to think given the reads we have on the two villains.

The button is putting in %12 of his chips to make this steal so he probably has some sort of hand. The scandie knows this so he's not likely to be re-stealing light. He would be getting 16-9 on his call so he is probably calling with any pair and most big cards. Plus you have to worry about shortie guy. I think this is a fold.
