On reflection I am not to thrilled with my play. First off this idea of checking when I flop trips is dubious. Very few people are going to be fooled into tossing in more money on the turn and river. And I miss the chance to get bad news early. Better to win the money fast. Also at the end it seems to me that anyone playing can only have either (Hands I beat {2pair or weaker trips}) or (hands I lose to {flush or full house or straight}. And we could have the same hand, or he could be bluffing.
In hindsight it seems most likely that I am beat and should throw my trips away.

Am I overreacting to a slightly bad beat, or is it actually correct to toss the aces. Thanks

Preflop is awful, min raising is useless, if you raise there make it 250.

You can't check that flop for 2 reasons:
1) there is a possible flush draw
2) betting into a AAx board disguises your A more than checking

Turn:
you bet 100 into a 350 pot giving amazing odds to anyone chasing for the 4th H.
Bet pot size.

River:
Check/call the river, there is no point in leading here, as played you have to call.

Edit you post to take out results - you'll get better responses.

What bad news could you have early?! Getting your money in here is a must for the times u kill AQ, AJ etc. I would lead flop, check turn - to the villain it feels like a c-bet on flop for a hand that missed and induces alot of bluffs for when he doesnt have an ace or better.

Imho your preflop raise was too small, when raising I'd have raised it up to 250. Quite often in the early stages i'll limp AK.

I bet the flop here hoping to get it all in. Turn is an awful card, anyone drawing has made it.

You needed to play it a more agressively from the get go.

please never ever limpt with AK after two limpers! That's bad!!! 250 pre is fine (3xBB +1 BB for every limper).

I'd limp AK after two limpers sometimes. The reason being that if someone limped with A-x and the flop comes as it does here, there is a good chance you'll take their entire stack. When raising might fold out the aces you're beating, and keep the pairs, just AJ, AQ etc.

AK is the best drawing hand so use it against players that limp with A-x for this exact flop. Don't need to fold them out. But after the flop play this strong, limping also disguises your hand and most trip aces (even a lot of pairs, FDs) would be inclined to call a near pot sized bet.

The reason i sometimes limp in level 1 and 2 is to conserve chips and avoid early coin flips. I think i benefit greatly by hanging around while others bust out. Especially at $5/$6.5.

this is awful.
Why do you want any Ax to outdraw you giving them a freeride to a two pairs?

Raise and let the fish call you with Ax, that is what you want and if they fold just pocket free chips.

A big reason to bet 250 pre-flop is to get the player with 44 to lay down the hand pre-flop.
