Default Comped Cocktail Question (Bourbon)

Its time for my semi-annual trip to vegas and I once again call upon the wisdom of the brick and mortar forum.

I have recently discovered the joys of good bourbon and am curious as to the availability of bourbon in vegas. Specifically, can i come by bookers, woodford or any other high end bourbon i haven't yet tried, without paying for it. Recommendations for cheaper more likely to be available bourbons that i might like are also more than welcome.

Any suggestions of which casinos might be best bets and whether there is any difference between video poker, table games and actual poker comps for drinks.

Thanks as always.

Welcome from the Bourbon capital of the world. You should be able to get Woodford Reserve in Vegas with no problem. I haven't been I'd guess you'd be able to get Bookers if you look around.

Might I make a suggestion, next opportunity you get try Knob Creek Bourbon. It's an excellent bourbon as well. Buffalo Trace is a great bourbon for the price, cheaper than Makers and Woodford and IMO, just as good.

Woodford flows like water at most bars in Vegas. Last year at the V, I went through several bottles in a week. Knob is goot, but Woodford is better.

Don't try for snooty brands in MGM or Caesars poker rooms. But from most poker rooms you should get 'bout anything within reason.

In my experience, the Venetian card room is a good place to get relatively nice liquors for free

Venetian, Bellagio, Mirage are probably your best bets.

I know all three of those serve Bombay Sapphire - bourbons you mentioned aren't that much more expensive.

You can get Makers and Bookers in the "V".
If you can try Rock Hill Farms-- wooo hooo good.

Wynn also seems good with the high end stuff.

Awesome. Thanks all. I'll definately give knob creek and buffalo trace a try. Sounds as if vegas, much like this forum, continues to live up to expectations

you can get basil hayden's at the mirage. Speaking from someone who has tried nearly every small batch or single barrel less than $150 in KY, I recommend it above just about any others
