Re: help OOT tipping experts....
diablo,
do these numbers change if you're paying a fee for delivery already? not that your numbers seem outrageous, but i think $100 should be plenty, especially if that works out to >$20/hr/man already |

Re: help OOT tipping experts....
Explain to the movers its your bosses place a box of donuts and some coffee should be fine... also I think you have a perfect opportunity to wiretap the bosses pad

Diablo, you forgot to mention that he should add an extra $10 per bed if the movers also put them together.

Diablo, you forgot to mention that he should add an extra $10 per bed if the movers also put them together. [/ QUOTE ] We never expected extra tips for assembly, since we charge for that time anyway. Assembling bed > schlepping boxes up stairs. If the job was close to my house and there was any really complex assembly, like home theater systems or Ikea wall units, I would finish the move and send the crew home. Then I'd come back on my own and work on a cash basis for like $25/hour. If you would tip for this sort of thing, I would make sure the bed was put together correctly first. |
