I just played live limit in Aruba.

I am better than 10% to $10 rake, six handed. I run goot. Winning around 7 of the 11 pots you play leaves you up $82. Gross. The straddles were well worth the dent in my winrate. Drunk live poker is easy.

My brother sat next to me after I played about 20 hands. There were concerns of soft-playing; I laughed heartily. I would smother my first-born before I'd soft-play my younger brother. He donked off admirably; for once I was not amused to be reminded of my former self.

This is a really, really great place though. I haven't met (remembered) many Dutch people to this point in my life, but Aruba leaves a nice impression of the Dutch. And Arubans love to laugh, which makes them really cool people (or excellent tip whores). I like Arubans.

Aruba (slightly) > Virgin Islands > Jamaica > Puerto
Rico > Bahamas > Treatable cancer > Atlantis in the Bahamas > Terminal cancer.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

*Hero offers a small sacrifice to appease the poker gods.*

I is running hot. Yesterday I played a live 3/6 full ring game and won 60 bets. It was unraked which of course helped.
The day before I won 42 bets at 2/4, 2-tabling for an hour.
The day before that, +90 bets 2-tabling 2/4 for 2-3 hours.

I guess limit isn't all gloom-n-doom.

Thanks oink.

FWIW I do think I've been playing losing poker, not just running bad. Being a -1BB player over 100k hands is a pretty strong sign. I started out being a live limit player and online NL player so my aggro was way to high. Raise/folding was the order of the day. Then I saw that I should show down more, but I overadjusted and became a station. Now I found my fold button again, and I've learned that LAP is FTW! I also started a new DB to not let my past results influence me too much.

At least all my losses at lhe were paid for by profits at NL :P

I think I'll be a bankroll nit for a while. I have over 1k bets for 2/4 but not for 3/6 so it's probably a good decisions.
