Default The Legend of Poker: A Return to the Past

For those that care, one reason why I've been gone so long was that I take my poker very seriously. Need time, no tilt, the drive, focus, etc. Today, all factors were there, and it was poker time. So, since I take my poker seriously, here is the most uneasy hand of the session. Not the most exciting hand ever, but this sort of thing is where a lot of bad betting goes a long way to lose moneys. Forgive the cheasy title.

No worthwhile reads. Sorry.

I'll try and answer this very seriously.

Check the turn. Bet if checked to on the river.

you can either b/f or check behind and call a river bet, imo

In all seriousness, I would make a legendary check and return to the betting past if checked to on the river.

Check turn to induce a river bluff and to avoid a c/r bluff. The pot is small, you won't give up much if ahead. If Hero is ahead, villain probably has very few outs.

On the other hand, a worse J or PP could call-down.

A check is only legendary or heroic if your villain has a head on his shoulders. Against an unknown at these stakes, I value bet like a pro. Then I value bet the river.

With no reads, I'd probably fire the second bullet. I'd check behind against laggier opponents.
