Re: Week 10 Rank\'em
[ QUOTE ]
Missouri has crushed two teams that were ranked in the top 25 when they played (Texas Tech and Nebraska). [/ QUOTE ] This is the dumbest logic ever for giving a team credit. Who cares where a team WAS ranked. Who CANT crush Nebraska? Texas Tech is decent but clearly not deserving of being ranked. Interesting is that the Sagarin predictor puts Missouri at #9, and West Virginia at #4. |

Re: Week 10 Rank\'em
[ QUOTE ]
Why is everyone ranking West Virginia over Missouri? The only top 25 team they have beaten is Rutgers (ranked 25 at the time). The Mountaineers' one loss to South Florida is not looking as good now. [/ QUOTE ]an hour after i ranked west virginia ahead of missouri i took a look at it and started questioning it. i remember saying to myself that they should really be tied at this point. both are solid |

The idea that we rely on humans to pick who the best teams are is nuts though. |

USC was ahead of UF in the BCS, loses to Oregon, while UF loses to Georgia, and 3 loss Florida somehow jumps them a couple weeks later. What a joke. So you think both Oklahoma and Michigan are terrible as well and neither deserves a BCS bowl? [/ QUOTE ] Let's see. Oklahoma beat one top ten team in Sagarin's top 10 and another in his top 30. USC hasn't beaten a top 30 team. Stanford (3-6) is worse than Colorado (5-5) according to his rankings (78th vs 43rd). So, based on that, Oklahoma cannot currently be considered as bad as USC. |

So you think both Oklahoma and Michigan are terrible as well and neither deserves a BCS bowl? [/ QUOTE ] I like Michigan but I think they are terrible as well and DON'T deserve a big bowl. Please give me 1 reason why USC deserves to be in a BCS bowl. Wow they beat Nebraska on the raod and haven't beaten a decent team all year. Struggled vs Zona and Washington. Michigan doesn't deserve to be in a BCS bowl either, but that doesn't mean b/c Michigan sucks, USC deserves to be in one. Maybe if they win out do they deserve it. Even then Cal, ASU, UCLA isn't as tough as it once seemed. |
