$$$ if you help me solve Laptop to HDTV question

Basically, I need my LCD HDTV to be a fully functional LCD monitor with audio as well.

I'm going to pick up a 26" or 32" Samsung LNT model HDTV.
It has the following ports:

-2 HDMI ports
-2 Composite (AV)
-2 S-Video
-1 PC input (D-sub) <-- I think it may have to do with this based on the name..
-2 Component (Y/Pb/Pr)


I need to connect it to my laptop which has the following relevant ports:
-15-pin RGB (VGA?)
-S-Video

I need there to be audio and visual obviously, and the picture should be good. What is the best way to go around doing this, and what cables do I need to buy? Thanks ahead of time.

My sony LCD HDTV has a place to plug your monitor cord into (I dont know what thats called) So I just do that and then plug a cord into my headphone jack on my laptop that splits into two cords and plugs into my surround sound.

I realize this isnt at all helpfull, and is probably the worst description of anything ever. Im not sure why I just wrote all this.Good luck anyways

hahaha, it helps, though. another posted PMed me saying basically the same thing as you but with techincal terms and pictures, and he seems to agree with you. thanks for the help, im gonna try this out soon.

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ...mp;sku=A0935758 this could help with the visual but for audio i use speakers from computer, i have a dell and 40 inch samsung.... hope this helps... oh and you plug said cables to computer and other end of said cable to your tv, pretty easy
