why is flop C-R yuck? seems to me that if we call PF with this hand it's not to get away from it when we hit TPTK

What do you think a rough range is for co pf here?
Of that range what calls a c/r and what has lots of outs to beat us?

Do you still like the c/r?

I think it is a tough spot because if we lead out on the flop we are getting Q's to fold, the only hand we could still be ahead, judging his preflop aggression.

What's your plan on the flop paul? Check-Call and having no idea where we are at?

Edit: What's your plan if we lead out on flop and get raised?

JJ, QQ, KK, AA
AK, mayyybe AQs

JJ, KK, AA, AK call
QQ and AQ fold

there are no hands with lots of outs to beat us. therefore:
-there's no need to protect our hand by check-raising
-if we do C-R, we're only getting called by hands that have us crushed, or AK.

nope. hey, thanks a lot, i think i just learned to think on a slightly deeper level.

given this, bet-fold and C-C become the only reasonable alternatives. i think i like C-C flop, C-F TRN UI. good?

I'd c/c flop and c/f turn unimproved v an unknown 18/12. If he bets turn you only beat a bluff and it's not a vry gd board to bluff on.

I would probably bet the flop and fold if facing a reraise. If just called the turn is quite tricky really, doesn't actually help you against any hand that might call the flop. Not sure what to do at that point, probably just c/f and live with losing to another AK hand rather than get stomped by AA,KK or JJ.
