You forget that cops don't need to start kicking your door down to stop you from gambling online. They can very easily stop all access to online gambling thru the provider like it is allready done in many countries around the world.

I also agree that this has more to do with money than morals and historically, with a very few exceptions, gambling communities have allways gone bad.

Unfotunately I also have to agree with those who state that the USA is not even the shadow of itself when it comes to freedom. If I consider how Europe and USA has developed in the post WW2 era, I don't regret being part of the old continent. I also know that in this time of globalisation, the USA is an influent country and it may be that online gambling will also be allowed in the UK and a few other countries, but that won't help much the rest of us. A few years ago bookmakers were also only allowed in the UK and many wish it was still the case.
