Poker Sites Courting Canucks?

I'm just wondering if anyone else gets the impression that sites that have cut off American players are courting Canadians? In the past week, I've received two packages from Party offering me bonuses to join (I already have an account, thanks). I've also got a brochure from WPEX, and now a free T-shirt, no strings attached. Anyone else feeling the love coming through the snow cover?

Stars has been running a lot of German-only tournaments lately. That's the only nationality targetted promotion I've noticed. (I'm not German, but I know Germany is one of the major "emerging markets" wrt online gaming).
