Assuming no more online poker. Then what?
It will probably never happen, but let's just assume it does.
If you are an online multitabler pro what would you do? Keep playing live poker for a living? Even though you know that it's another kind of poker, no software to help you, only 20/30 hands an hour, best games always late at night, completely different playing conditions, etc... etc... Do you think you could do it? Would you even want to do it? Don't pretend you never thought about it. Of course you have.... |

Re: Assuming no more online poker. Then what?
I've always assumed that I'll ultimately get sick of online poker and do something else. Legislation would just hurry the process.

[ QUOTE ]
I'd go back to being homeless. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sure this answer would apply to many of us. We should all live in the same neighborhood, we could play rakefree late at night under the bridge... |

Re: Assuming no more online poker. Then what?
incase you don't know how the world goes the vast majority including even many of those among the upper end of players would move on, even if online poker continues indefinitely a lot of those currently playing will find other things to do before long anyway for various reasons.

The occasional home game and that hour and 10 minute drive to Foxwoods 2 or 3 times a week.

Re: Assuming no more online poker. Then what?
The question is not if you will eventually do something else or not. Many think they will, but I am pretty sure that it won't be the case. When you have played poker for 10 years, are 30/35 y.o. and have no higher education, finding something else "fulfilling" and especially "rewarding" won't be that easy.
Anyway, the subject here is how will it affect your present life and what would your options be? |
