Bribing cable guys

I have the cable guy coming tomorrow to set me up in my new place. I've heard stories about people bribing these technicians to get access to channels and services without having to pay monthly.

Has anyone ever done this or know how to go about doing it or what to ask them for?

Most places teh cable guys cant do anything anymore to get you mroe service for nothing.

The services are now controlled at the actual cable company. I would be shocked if offering them any money could help you acquire anything.

when the cable guy came and set me up, he really liked my plasma, and i guess the fact that i offered him a gatorade, so i had free hi def channels for like 7 months, i still have most of them but i no longer have espn hd a&e hd, or disc hd, but i still have all the other ones, at no cost.

he basically did something like
(calls the office)
give this address hd channels i wanna try something
play with the plasma, sets it up better than i had it
and says
So you got free hi def channels! enjoy.

i would offer hi a drink, make some coments about working, ask him he he ever meets hot chicks on the job, and while hes messing with the box ask half jokingly what kinda tip gets you free channels

we had to switch cable companies becasue the one we were with did not give us local channels....dish network... which at the time didnt have hd channels
i dont really watch espn...no to into sports or televised poker...so the ones i dont have i can eaisly d without.
but to fully anwser what kinda person?
