Ok...a situation has occurred. There is a $1,000, 30k hands prop bet (for October) between 2 people and I have been asked to post this here to keep it "anonymous".

Person "A" is on pace and will complete his end of the bet.

Person "B" has PM'd "A" today (24 days in) and asked to buy out of the bet. He offered $234 to buy out. Person "A" countered w/ $800 seeing as it's almost 80% of the way thru the month.

Neither can agree.

Person "A" states that he has played 24k hands.

Person "B" states that he has played 10k hands.

So, what say you SSNL?

I do ask that if you know the people involved, please keep quiet til tomorrow after the poll closes.

By request, please do NOT vote either of the bottom two options. Only choose a $$$ amount.

[/ QUOTE ]

what's the big deal? B is one day of play away from finishing

BUSTO!!!

just to finish it off, thanks for everybodys help. I do appreciate it. FWiw Im just glad I realised enough to pull some money out of the game before i realized I cant control myself when I start losing. I probably had some bad luck, I'm sure I played bad too. No big deal, I think I'm still up a decent amount on the year and realized I dont think I have what it takes. Thank god i was a cashout nut or I'd be sitting at 200/400 right now. and if your wondering i think i lost 12.5k today. very very depressed right now so figured id right strangers that aren't up. again thanks for your help and gla.

Default Re: SSNL [cheese] thread: OCT 2 (nc)

"Mighty" (i know who you are because i matched IPs and both people in question, i feel so smart)-

I personally would do a little more than the buyout, had I been person A. Something like $300 seems reasonable.

IMO, these prop bets (hand prop bets) are not so much a way for others to get rich than just a little extra motivation for fellow 2p2ers to log hands in. I personally think that they are a good way to help motivate a bit, and its purpose should NOT be personal gain for either party.

You should want to help a fellow forum buddy log some hands in. Granted, there may be circumstances in which player B may be unable to finish such hands. But be reasonable- there isn't any reason to be super greedy and spaz out. Perhaps I'm a bit partial to player B because he's my friend, but thinking about it now, I wouldn't really charge anyone the full $800 or what have you on nearly anyone on this forum.

It just seems as if player A only cares about the $800 or whatever, and will stop at nothing to attain it. I don't see how one can pester another so badly, it just seems like a douchey thing to do.

Anyways, good luck to both parties. Hope they find a solution.
