Default What to do with these 55\'s

(first post of a hand by the way)
8 man table, Villain is first in from Co. Stats of 40/13.5/1.0 taken from roughly 100-150 hands

I three bet with 55 from the button, blinds fold.

Flop-J J J
Villain-check
I bet, called

Turn-2
Villain-check
I bet, called

Rover- T
Villain- check
I check?

Opponent shows AT, although I actually saved a bet here, i think this play often misses value versus some other ace high hand. What if Villain had bet into me on the river? And was my pre-flop a bit too optimistic. All comments welcome.

Don't be results oriented.(It's customary to not post results in the original post; you can add them later after some discussion.) Bet the river. Call a river donk.

You played it fine. If you're winning more than 50% when called on the river, it's certainly not by much.

I don't make the isolation raise play with 22-66 very often.

With 55 villian needs to be raising approx 40% of his hands here and you have to be fairly sure that nobody will play behind you.

Flop and turn are definatey good.

I can't decide on the river if I want to value bet (thinking that ace high often calls) or not.

preflop 3bet is thin, even 8 handed. i would probably do it with 66, so it probably doesn't really matter that much. 6max it would be standard.

flop and turn are fine.

river, i'm valuebetting. there are a myriad of Ahigh hands(and maybe even a couple worse pp's)that will call that river every time. it's close. it's not like checking isn't losing more than a fraction of a big bet, plus you guarantee yourself a showdown.

that said, my personal opinion is a profitable bet is a profitable bet. missing them means we aren't making as much as we could be. as stated, it's close, but i think given the liberal calldowns with Ahigh/any pair that i see on a daily basis we lose money not value betting our pair of 5s here.
