Re: Set on a monotone board
I would raise more pre you're OOP and don't really want more than one caller at most, you're hand is likely the best now but can be awkward to play OOP. Otherwise I play it the same.

Re: Set on a monotone board
Usually when I see this happening it's not necessarily a draw. The times I've seen cards flipped over it's been a made flush already, but not the Ace-high flush. The only time I see it as a draw is if that person is holding the Ace. In this situation it can easily be the flush or even the straight, sometimes we just don't give our opponents credit for having it since the chance of people flopping a flush is very slim. However, with THAT many people in the pot it's very doubtful that NO ONE hit that flop hard.
You do have outs drawing to a full boat though and it's hard to lay this down unless you're 100% positive you're beat. I feel like you knew you were beat, yet still commited the chips. It's how I always feel when put in these situations. |

Re: Set on a monotone board
put all your money in. If he has a flush you still have plenty of outs (you're 2-1 against a flush). He can easily be 'protecting' KQ or QJ.
