.25/.50 weak ace on a scary board.
Full Tilt 0.25/0.5 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 5 folds, CO calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (4 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets, Button calls, Hero raises, BB folds, CO calls, Button 3-bets, Hero calls, CO calls. Turn: (7 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero calls, CO folds. River: (9 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 11 BB A couple of notes: The guy in the CO bets a lot of flops often with nothing or a marginal hand. The button just sat down a couple of hands ago. All in all, I think I played this pretty badly on the flop especially calling the 3-bet. On the turn my thinking was that If my opponent was holding a straight I'm pretty sure I had odds for a draw to a Full House; however if he was 3-betting with top 2 pair I am probably in a lot of trouble. Advice ? |

Re: .25/.50 weak ace on a scary board.
I certainly don't see a raise on the flop. That seems like extremely wishful thinking.
Turn hrmm out of position donk looks about right calling 3 bet and call river. Pretty sure its a weak call as that river seriously sucks but can't fold the trips. |

Re: .25/.50 weak ace on a scary board.
Yeah, I feel that the flop raise was definitely a bad move since the Button called in front of me. If it was just me and the CO I think the raise on the flop could really be for value since he will open bet/call with any pair or nothing.

Is it really THAT bad ? The read was he bets pretty much anything. Button calls... that means... he has 2 cards. |

donk is infinitely better than a c/r in this situation ir you 6hink A on that board is good.

Probably so. But given how it was played, you still might have the best hand with that read.

Posting blind: if you're scared, fold.
Having read your post: fold pf, don't raise the flop when the unknown overcalls, meh on the turn and river, you're toast but it's hard to fold trip aces. |

Yeah, but what does a call really mean here ? It could be the Ace (with a worse kicker, even), King, Ten, a draw, or maybe he just feels lucky.
