Default NL25 how to get the best of it?

after all the great replies to the hand i posted the other day i would love to get some comments on two hands i played today.

1)
Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 10 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

UTG+2: $24.40

Preflop: Hero is dealt 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (10 Players)
3 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, 3 folds, <font color="red">BTN raises to $1.25</font>, Hero calls $1.15, BB folds, MP1 calls $1.00

<font color="blue"> </font> i know its probably a debatable call, but i hoped MP1 would call and we get a nice pot <font color="blue"> </font>

Hand 1: bet that flop 75-100% of pot. Your opponents have conceivable flush and or straight draws so protect your bottom set.

Hand 2: I'd bet this too, probably like $2.5. No free draws!

Too many draws on both hands to slow play. A checkraise could miss bad news on a wet board.
Bet pot and bet pot.
Giving away free cards in multiway pots is criminal.

Also, don't bet upset if everyone folds. You win, sure it's a small pot, but it's better than losing a monster when you slowplay hands you need to play fast...like these.

Yes, also you probably could have 3 bet the second hand preflop with the JJ.

Bet both hands. In the second hand, if I call, I'm going for a set since overcards flop so often. I'd probably re-raise since you're out of position and have a top 5 hand to win it preflop or at least get heads-up.

I don't think you really have odds to call in the first hand preflop, since the raiser is such a small stack. I'm definitely 3betting preflop in the second hand.
