OH,
the light (and small) 4bet has come from light 3betting. Players are 3betting with hands that cannot stand a small 4bet. That's really all there is to it. Sometimes they'll be getting correct odds to call, but most of their 3betting range will not be calling the 4bet. I started doing this for awhile, but eventually I was getting bluff called and bluff 5bet (yep). So I've switched to 4bet shoving mostly.

[/ QUOTE ] You were probably just 4-betting light with too many bluffs. If you're doing it with a good value:bluff ratio then you can't be so easily exploited.
