Sure, I'd argue that you could easily shift that time period back by 6-10 years. My top rock songs would have more Buddy Holly and less Bread.

This one seems a little overrated to me. I know it's one of their signature songs, mostly because it's the title track from one of the greatest rock albums ever. However, I think AC/DC had several songs better than this. You Shook Me, Thunderstruck, Hells Bells, Highway to Hell, and Moneytalks all seem like better choices to me. Even though I'm a huge AC/DC fan, I doubt any of those songs are the best rock song ever.
