Default KQo to a raise

You are UTG+1 with KQo
UTG - solid 25/21/2 opens. BB is also a good player.

Do you?

Ok thanks. That is enough. I had this argument with someone who I consider a very good player who argued it could be played profitably.

I didn't think so.

I don't have stove at work but I'm pretty sure that KQo isn't >50% equity vs a 21pfr's UTG raise

also if someone ends up capping behind us we're dominated a lot of the time

I agree. Stove gives it as almost a coinflip, with odds of 1.05:1 in favour of UTG. If it's small stakes, say 1/2, nobody calls but UTG, you're putting up $6 to win $8.25 after the PF rake, 1.375:1.

There has to be better situations to try and get headsup, than with 4 players left to act.

KQo vs. solid utg raise == reverse implied odds. stove doesn't tell the whole story. and like someone else said if it gets capped goodnight.

Although I've been 3 betting this alot in my career, I think it's a fold. I'd 3 bet AJ and KQs. I'd 3 bet KQ if he opened in the HJ.

Are you guys stoving vs. 21pfr's UTG opening range or just against 21%???

I run about 20/21 and ran it vs my UTG range and was a pretty big dog.

most of the 30-20's inflate their PFR by stealing alot. when they raise UTG, KQo is trash in UTG1

I really phrased that badly. Namely I was talking about utz' post where he claimed it to be 1.05:1... Its a lot worse than that.

KQs looks pretty bad, too. Really 3balling it here, sharpie?
