Default Did that little tiny shoe help me win?

I have been playing my buddie heads up for weeks. He has been crushing me. Probably 8 in a row pulling a card from thin air on the river. Well tonight I was takin it too him heads up. Well during his hot streak he saw my book,"Play Poker Like The Pros" by Phil Hellmuth Jr., and snickered play poker like the pros ha ha. So tonight he rivered me again leaving me with a few chips and a chair. So I brought the shoe out. Well back in the 80s when Cabbage patch Kids were the in thing, my mom made me a Cabbage Patch Babe Ruth doll. Anyways his shoe was available during our heads up match. After pushing the Hellmuth book on the floor, I started to put the shoe on the table. He pushed that off also. But he said something about the shoe, and me nearly busted started going all in and putting the shoe on top of my meager chip stack. Well i reminded him later of a four letter word that starts with t and ends with t, and he went all in with 4 5 hearts, I had 7-7, he was drawing dead on the river. I came back big time, and busted his ego (and his stack.) Was I right or wrong to put my faith into that tiny little shoe?
