i still want to see who boston add before i'm going to name them favorites in the east. sure, pierce, allen and kg is a great top 3, maybe the best in the nba, but they don't have a single player after those three that would be in the top 6-8 on any of the other eastern conference contenders. you can call cleveland a one man team all you want, but the celtics would kill for donyell marshall. donyell marshall!

the east is still bad, but it's getting better. new york, atlanta and charlotte are all improved, orlando added rashard lewis and washington might actually be healthy for once. i don't even think it's a lock the celtics make the playoffs unless they add at least a couple more experienced players.

Disagree. Rajon Rondo would be given the opportunity to start over Stevenson, Hughes/Snow, injured JWill/Smush, etc. The only exception is Detroit who is deep but lacks the true superstar. A lot would depend on how he develops this offseason, but he'd be given a chance and it wouldn't surprise me if he started.

Random question because I don't feel like starting a new thread just to ask it: Where online can I find a list of the league leaders in PER for each season(or for career)? I don't have ESPN Insider.

i'm not sure if it was mentioned though but i think the main question mark will be everyone's ability to stay healthy particularly allen and pierce...

both of them have been durable for most of their careers except for recent years... now a lot of them missing games last year had a lot to do with tanking games i bet but their recent injury history doesn't bode well for the celtics moving forward... not to mention their depth troubles...

it's a no brainer deal considering the ages of pierce and allen.. though i wouldn't even put them in seeds 1-4 just yet... it's more like 6,7,8 right now with no one else signing...

Utah at 25-1 looks like a good bet.

This is really good for the nba, especially after the ref scandal. Five fairly evenly talented teams in the East, with the whole spectrum of team structures (superstar teams, balanced teams, young, old.) Pistons and Heat both on the decline with a lot to prove. Bulls and Cavs young and improving. Throw the Celtics in there and it gets really interesting. Toronto, Washington, and New Jersey are all capable of winning a playoff series.

And that's the [censored] ty conference.

Rajan Rondo is actually really good (being serious this time), you all seriously underestimate him. He really has like triple double POTENTIAL (not like actual triple double but near it), once he improves his offense (im sure he has been working on his jumpshot) he will be a beast and boston will be a difficult team to match up against.

Rondo-Ray Allen-Paul Pierce-Kevin Garnett-Retarded center here?

that will give any1 problems east OR THE WEST as long as those 4 guys can stay healthy. That being said Al Jefferson is straight up gonna be a complete monster in this league in a few seasons (not that he already isnt showing some brillant flashes)

what about the knicks?

Marbury-Crawford-Q Richardson- Randolph-E Curry
with a sick ass bench

the only reason they didnt make the playoffs last season (believe me they were on there way they were in playoff position before all tyhis happened) was cuz every1 on the team got hurt (like crawford, q rich, d lee, Balkman)
Not to mention Marbury was playing at like 70% tops cuz of his injury
Knicks are my sleeper pick to surprise alot of people
