Default Americas Poor

Of course, poor can mean whatever you want it to.

[ QUOTE ]
FORT LAUDERDALE -- People making moderate incomes -- up to $69,720 a year -- might soon join the ranks of the city's poor in being eligible for housing welfare.

I remember something about the old English Common Law that the income of anyone receiving benefits from the government could not exceed that of the lowest paid wage earner.

I'm sure there will be some hamburger flippers paying taxes to support these "poor" people. Liberal politics is all about making everyone dependent -- at some point, you've got to scrape the top of the barrel.

Welfare never ceases to amaze me! I think the AC'ers can rip this one apart better than me and I am with them when it comes to welfare...

Welfare is the same nonsense as social security; go to an Atlantic City casino on the weekdays and you'll see where that 6.2% of your paycheck is going.

All tax-based social benefits are fundamentally flawed because of one obvious factor: when you reward something, you increase the likelihood of it happening.

Giving people money for not working DOES NOT give them the incentive to work. It gives them incentive NOT to work. Duh.
