Default being anti-social

sometimes i find myself in a situation where i have initiated small talk with another person, or they initiated it with me, and then when I have had enough and I am ready to get on my way, the person will not take a hint that i dont want to be friends with them. usually, most people will get the point, when you say "well, OK see you later", but there are some people who will be completely clueless and will ask you for your cellphone or some other personal information. What is the best course of action in this situation? i dont want to make anyone feel bad, so i usually end up giving them a fake phone number.

KKF,

Doesn't sound like you're anti-social, sounds like the other people you are talking to are socially-retarded. They aren't picking up on your non-verbal queues that you aren't interested in what they have to say or continuing the conversation.

I don't really know what to do in that situation, to be honest. Usually I give them my number then don't answer when they call or only answer if I know I won't be able to hang out with them or whatever.

Kinda a douchebaggy move, but whatever, I'm not the one causing the situation.

It's "nonverbal cues".
