Who do these headphones belong to?
The other day I had like 10 of my friends over to watch a DVD. Then 2 days later my girlfriend found a brand new pair of Ipod headphones still in the box under the couch. I asked a few of the friends if they were theirs and they all said no. The only other dudes who presumably they belong to are friends of friends and I have no way of contacting.
My girlfriend claims that the headphones are hers because she found them, I claim that they are mine because they belong to a friend of my friend and are therefore closer to belonging to me than to her. Is this a clear case of finders-keepers, or do the headphones go to whoever is most closely related socially to the people who the headphones belong to? Dan |

Re: Who do these headphones belong to?
Whoever licks them first is the owner.

Why can't your friends ask their friends if they lost something at your place?

Re: Who do these headphones belong to?
Yeah, OP's logic sucks. Either find some way to get the headphones back to the real owner or your gf gets them.

Re: Who do these headphones belong to?
If your GF lives with you, then Finders/Keepers applies, they are hers. If she in fact does not live in the same domicile that the aformentioned headphones were found, then she has no claim whatsoever. The headphones belong to you.
Can anyone just walk into your place and "find" something and lay claim to it? |
