Win rates and standard Deviation for 6 max?
There have been more stars 3/6 and 2/4 6 max tables popping up lately, usually averaging a little over 50% to the flop.
Given those statistics, what sort of win rate could a good player achieve? Any idea how large the variance is at these tables and stakes? |

Re: Win rates and standard Deviation for 6 max?
Im not home to check my Standard Deviation,
but its pretty huge, often these tables will run 4-5 handed, and so while I have averaged 3bb/100, I can go on very prolonged downstreaks of 250+BB. |

Re: Win rates and standard Deviation for 6 max?
3bb/100 and a 250bb downswing is still possible even in a split pot game?
I lost 38 bets in a 3/6 game in 130 hands 6handed seeing 40% of flops and quit before tilt crept in. Started up later at 2/4 and made 38 bets back in literally 4 hands hitting every nut nut and gutshot in multiway raised pots. So i guess I see what you're saying. |

Re: Win rates and standard Deviation for 6 max?
im not sure if you are wondering about possibility
of 3bb/100 or 250bb? 3BB/100 is easily doable, if I didn't have these sessions where Stars hates me for a month, and I thus go on tilt, one could easily see 4-5BB/100. -250BB is definitely possible, this goes over about 5k-20k hands, so yeah, if you can lose 38BB in 130 hands, 250bb in 10k shouldnt seem unusual. Although, it sure drives me nuts. |

Re: Win rates and standard Deviation for 6 max?
I withdrew my stars bankroll completely and put $20 on FT hoping to build back up. I played SHLO8 .25/.5 and shot up to $50, down to $3 (at the climax of this I went 60 hands without getting $ at SD, 4-5 handed), up to $60, and back down to $40 over the first week. The variance is much larger when you can't do any hand reading or make people lay down a hand, and consequently get tilted, which is commonplace for my play in these low of stakes.
